The EP Lab was a complete Renovation of Ward 3J and surrounding areas. The objective of the project was to create a new electrophysiology Lab, new exam rooms, recovery/holding area, waiting area and doctor’s offices. Versacon completed the project in 2 phases. The project was performed around other active EP labs so infection control was extremely important. This also required off hours work for noisy activities and mechanical and electrical shutdowns.
The project consisted of demolition, structural steel, windows, doors and hardware, gypsum drywall with lead lined walls, new ACT, flooring, painting and VWC. The project was heavy in mechanical & electrical work. We installed a new Air Handling unit to feed the new space and brought up high voltage electrical service to a new panel to serve new VA furnished equipment. We had to coordinate project with VA equipment vendors Skytron for the articulating booms and Toshiba for the Scanner/X-ray machine.
