Versacon is incredibly honored to be able to work on restoring the Roy Wilkins Memorial.

Roy Wilkins Memorial, “Spiral for Justice” that includes 46 elements to represent the 46 years Roy Wilkins dedicated leadership of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).  The wall symbolizes barriers created by racial segregation and other impede the progress towards racial equality, the spiral ascends above and through those walls, along with a obelisk adorned with an African reliquary, a reference to Africans honoring their ancestors.

Featured in our photos are the recent sandblasting to help restore the surface of parts of the memorial.

The projects consist of repairing and replacing the granite paving, as well as the artwork repairs and restoration to ensure this memorial remains exquisite for years to come.
